Once in a blue moon, I have a thought on some topic in theology, philosophy, or apologetics, that might be worth sharing with others. (For reasons best left unexamined, this usually occurs in the bathroom.) This blog is a channel for releasing these fragile thoughts into the wild. Some I will try to protect from the ravages of a hostile world; others will have to fend for themselves.
This is not a ‘news’ or ‘follow-my-link’ blog. The blogosphere seems to be saturated with those already. In any case, I can’t imagine why anyone else would be interested in just those things I happen to be interested in! One consequence, however, is that posts here will probably be infrequent and sporadic.
As for the moderation policy: I favour free speech in general, but not free speech in my combox. (I defy anyone to derive a contradiction from that creed.) So while I welcome polite and thoughtful comments, including critical ones, I reserve the right not to approve any submitted comment as I see fit and without any obligation to explain myself. :)
Note that the opinions expressed herein are entirely my own and do not necessarily reflect those of the church of which I am a member or the institution of which I am an employee.
Go here and here for some more information about me. Go here to watch me walk and talk and wave my hands around.
The header image is a view of the Langdale Pikes from the Cumbria Way (in the Lake District). The photo was taken in June 2007 by my wife, who has an eye for a good landscape. As for its connection with the theme of the blog, I leave that for the reader to discern!
